Summary
Areas of parallel ridged cultivation marks are visible within historic fields to the southwest of Highway Cottages, Lytchett Minster, as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are wide and curving and may be those of medieval broad ridge and furrow. A medieval to post medieval field boundary is also visible as a banked linear earthwork along the west side of the southernmost area. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
Areas of parallel ridged cultivation marks are visible within historic fields to the southwest of Highway Cottages, Lytchett Minster, as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are wide and curving and may be those of medieval broad ridge and furrow. A medieval to post medieval field boundary is also visible as a banked linear earthwork along the west side of the southernmost area [1]. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
