Summary

An extensive bank and ditched field system of possible later prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery. The system covers a large part of the parish of Charlton Marshall and extends to the south into Spetisbury, in all covering over 220 hectares. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

An extensive bank and ditched field system of possible later prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery <1-9>. The system covers a large part of the parish of Charlton Marshall and extends to the south into Spetisbury, in all covering over 220 hectares. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
