Summary
A series of linear ditched features in fields to the south of Henbury Manor, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features may be field boundaries and/or trackways of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features are located within areas of possible medieval to post medieval ridge and furrow (MDO45727) but potentially overlie these. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A series of linear ditched features in fields to the south of Henbury Manor, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features may be field boundaries and/or trackways of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features are located within areas of possible medieval to post medieval ridge and furrow (MDO45727) but potentially overlie these. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
