Summary

A linear ditched feature in a field to the northeast of Garth Close, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on a 1945 aerial photograph. The feature is considered likely to be a trackway of probable post medieval date. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A linear ditched feature in a field to the northeast of Garth Close, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on a 1945 aerial photograph [1]. The feature is considered likely to be a trackway of probable post medieval date. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The feature is no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
