Summary
Three hollows are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on Charlton Down, Spetisbury. They range from 15m to 20m across and are considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pits: the northern of the three has an outer ring of spoil. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Three hollows are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on Charlton Down, Spetisbury <1-2>. They range from 15m to 20m across and are considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pits: the northern of the three has an outer ring of spoil. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
