Summary

Curvilinear banked features at Knoll Copse, Corfe Mullen, are visible as earthworks on a 1947 aerial photograph. The features appear to encircle part of a low oval mound of uncertain date or origin. The northern part of the mound is also visible as a soilmark on 2021 APGB imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Curvilinear banked features at Knoll Copse, Corfe Mullen, are visible as earthworks on a 1947 aerial photograph [1]. The features appear to encircle part of a low oval mound of uncertain date or origin. The northern part of the mound is also visible as a soilmark on 2021 APGB imagery [2]. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
