Summary
Five hollows are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the south of Hickson's Coppice, Spetisbury. They range in date from 15m to 42m across and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. Two of the pits are surrounded by a ring of spoil. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description
Five hollows are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the south of Hickson's Coppice, Spetisbury <1>. They range in date from 15m to 42m across and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. Two of the pits are surrounded by a ring of spoil. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
