A system of medieval ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in fields to the west of the River Winterborne, northwest of St Nicholas's Church. It is likely to be an extension of the field system described in record MDO5216 which is considered to be the field system associated with the former village of Nicholson. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
