Summary

Fragments of an extensive banked field system of possible later prehistoric or medieval date are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Lower Whatcombe, Winterbourne Whitechurch. The features extend into The Clump and to the south, covering and area of over 41ha, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

Fragments of an extensive banked field system of possible later prehistoric or medieval date are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Lower Whatcombe, Winterbourne Whitechurch <1-2>. The features extend into The Clump and to the south, covering and area of over 41ha, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
