A large number of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within Oatclose Wood, Winterborne Clenston. They range in size from 5m to 130m and are considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pits. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

A large number of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within Oatclose Wood, Winterborne Clenston <1>. They range in size from 5m to 130m and are considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pits. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
