Summary
A probable Bronze Age round barrow to the south of Stag Wood Gate, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as a sub-circular ring ditch on a 2007 aerial photograph and 2022 Google Earth imagery. The feature is part of a larger barrow group of at least nine possible barrows. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
Faint cropmarks show a group of at least 7 ring ditches probably from Bronze Age round barrows. Seen in 2007 aerial photography. <1>
A probable Bronze Age round barrow to the south of Stag Wood Gate, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as a sub-circular ring ditch on a 2007 aerial photograph and 2022 Google Earth imagery <2, 3>. The feature is approximately 13m in diameter and appears to conjoin a larger ring ditch (MDO46519) on its north side. It forms part of a larger barrow group of at least nine possible barrows. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
