A Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Riveridge Wood, Bere Regis. It is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1944 and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. The site is 70m across and is associated with the lime kiln described in MDO7193.
