A loose concentration of post medieval extractive pits in fields to the southwest of Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be old chalk or gravel pits. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

A loose concentration of post medieval extractive pits in fields to the southwest of Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1].
