Summary

Two unannotated hollows are marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map to the west of Den Wood, Anderson; they are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits. The hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. A third smaller hollow is also visible 200m to the north west.

Two unannotated hollows are marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map <1> to the west of Den Wood, Anderson; they are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits. The hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery <2> and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. A third smaller hollow is also visible 200m to the north west.
