Summary
A small hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within a small copse to the south east of Rectory Farm, Winterborne Zelston. It is marked as an unanotated hollow on the OS 1st Edition map and is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit. It is associated with a larger hollow to the west, also visible on lidar imagery; they were both digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

A small hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within a small copse to the south east of Rectory Farm, Winterborne Zelston <1>. It is marked as an unanotated hollow on the OS 1st Edition map <2> and is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit. It is associated with a larger hollow to the west, also visible on lidar imagery; they were both digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
