Several irregular hollows in a field to the southeast of Winterborne Zelston are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. One of the features is shown but not named on OS historic mapping. The features are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
