A post medieval extractive pit to the north of Morden is visible as an irregular earthwork and cropmark on aerial photographs [1, 2]. The feature is recorded as a chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map and on an OS map dated 1955 [3, 4]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
