Summary

Areas of ridged and ditched earthworks to the southeast of West Park Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features might be cultivation ridges, possibly those of medieval ridge and furrow, or alternatively post medieval drainage features. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Areas of ridged and ditched earthworks to the southeast of West Park Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features might be cultivation ridges, possibly those of medieval ridge and furrow, or alternatively post medieval drainage features. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
