Summary
Ditched and banked linear and curvilinear features in fields to the south of the parish church, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are considered to be field boundaries and trackways of medieval to post medieval date, at least some of which might be directly associated with a deserted medieval settlement to the northeast (MDO7774), although some might be later features. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
Ditched and banked linear and curvilinear features in fields to the south of the parish church, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2, 3]. The features are considered to be field boundaries and trackways of medieval to post medieval date, at least some of which might be directly associated with a deserted medieval settlement to the northeast (MDO7774), although some might be later features. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The majority of the features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
