An irregular depression to the northwest of Peaton's Farm, Lytchett Matravers, is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature is recorded as an old quarry on the OS 1st Edition map [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. It is still visible on available Google Earth imagery as a tree-filled depression.
