Summary

Banked and ditched linear features in fields to the north of Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are considered likely to be field boundaries of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Banked and ditched linear features in fields to the north of Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2]. The features are considered likely to be field boundaries of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. Two of the features are still just visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
