Listed Building record MDO47048 - St Andrew's Farmhouse, Lulworth Camp, West Lulworth

St Andrew's Farmhouse built in the seventeenth century on site of an earlier Manor House (possibly dating to 1288 or 1303). The farmhouse is built to a rectangular plan and is of two storeys with stone walls and a tiled roof. The central porch dates to the mid eighteenth century and there have been later alterations. A few seventeenth century stone mullioned windows remain. St Andrew's Farmhouse is now used as offices.

Lulworth St Andrew, anciently a manor, but now only a farm, was mentioned circa 1288 and 1303 and was probably one of the "Lolowordes" mentioned in Domesday. <1> St Andrew's Farmhouse of two storeys with stone walls was built on a long rectangular plan in the 17th century. The central porch is dated 1759 and there are additions along the back. <3> St Andrew's Farm (SY 836810), mentioned by Strode circa 1628, and so called from 'a church which stood there dedicated to St Andrew' (see SY 88 SW 13). Manor of 'Lulworth St Andrew' mentioned 1302, 1430 and 1502. <4> The farmhouse has not been occupied as a farm since before the Second World War and was converted into offices during the second half of the twentieth century. It is not recommended for scheduling. <5>
