Full Description

SY 484 948. Late Bronze Age socketed axehead found in the field on the North side of Newhouse Farm. It is 3 1/4 inches long, 1 3/4 inches across the sub-rectangular mouth, and the cutting edge expands to 2 inches. A single loop springs from the mouth, from which hang three vertical ribs on both faces. <1>
