Full Description

Here (Leigh) was anciently a Chapel, St. Catherine's. A meadow now called St. Catherines lies a little east of the deanery, bones are dug up thereabouts, but there are no remains of the site of the chapel. <1> The site of this chapel is in the back gardens of a small group of cottages. There are no remains of the chapel. Its name is perpetuated in the name of a nearby house and street. <3>
