Full Description
Cropmarks of a probable Iron Age or Roman curvilinear settlement enclosure with internal pits seen at SY 7828 9504. The enclosure is defined by a broad irregular ditch with traces of an inner thinner palisade ditch and an entrance to the NE. The entire enclosure is bisected by the modern field boundary and is not so clear in the the field to the west. A ditch extends NE from the entrance which appears to link to the faint traces of an associated ditched rectilinear field system visible. All are visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 by Historic England as part of the Reconnaissance Recording Programme. <1>
NGR SY 7828 9604 rather than SY 7828 9504 seems to fit better with AP reference.
