Full Description
"Walterston" (Higher Waterston - SY 7295. Lower Waterston - SY 7395). "Here was formerly a free chapel, which was probably neglected at the beginning of the Reformation". In 1546 it was granted to Edward Rogers. <1>
Hutchins mentions a former chapel at Waterston, which is referred to as "Capelle de Waltereston" (no date) in the Cartulary of Christchurch Priory (1372) and in the Minister's Accounts of 1412, as "ecclesie de Walterston". <2>
