Full Description

SY745953. Hyde in Puddletown was a small Medieval settlement that later became a farm. Hutchins says it was adjacent to 'Walter-stone' and it seems likely that it lay between Waterston and Puddletown. Held by Twyneham Priory (Hants) in 1431 it is refered to as 'Drews et Hide', from which the author deduces it lay near the modern Druce Farm. <1>
