Full Description

Two 'almost globular' urns, ?LBA, from a barrow on Piddlehinton Down. <1-2> The location of Piddlehinton Down was not identified during field investigation in the area. The local Tithe Map gives no indication apart from delineating the field centred at SY 706969 and simply describing it as "down". There was no indication of a barrow within the area, which was under grass. <3> Two 'almost globular' - shaped urns were recovered from a barrow disturbed by the construction of a road on Piddlehinton Down. <4>
