Summary
Nine Lower Palaeolithic handaxes were found at Castle Lane below Redbreast Road, in an area on the west edge of Terrace 5 geology. One of the objects was found in 1931, at a depth of 0.03-1.00 metres, in loam that had been dumpted at this locality.
