Summary
Lower Palaeolithic implements including around 300 handaxes, 4 roughouts, 11 retouched flakes, 21 flakes, 7 Levallois flakes and 4 miscellaneous objects were found at King's Park, Boscombe. The area consisted of gravel working with several large pits one of which is known as Thistlebarrow Gravel Pit. The geology in the area consists mainly of Terrace 10 Gravel but possibly Gravel 9.
