Full Description

West Mill (SY 687910), a two storeyed brick building of plain rectangular plan built in the early 19th century and now stripped of all machinery. Towards the north end of the west elevation are two segmental arches which indicate the entry of the mill-race, now filled-in. Further east in the same wall are the remains of a small sluice. <3> West Mills (SY 686911), first mentioned as Westmutt in 1349 and 1426 Court Rolls. <4>
