Summary

County Hall built for Dorset County Council between the 1930s and 1950s, and now the home of Dorset Council. The foundation stone was laid in 1938 but building work was only completed in 1955, having been delayed by the Second World War. The former Crown Court and Magistrates' Court are in the front of the building, though no longer used as courts.
