Roman finds include two sherds (one of which, from the west ditch, is part of a New Forest beaker of 3rd-4th century date), part of a brooch and possibly the Kimmeridge shale spindle-whorl and lathe-core though these might be of medieval date. <1>
SY 771832 A few Romano-British shale objects and sherds, one of New Forest ware, were found in 1958, E of Holworth Farm. <2>
