Full Description
Unimportant or unclassified grange, hermitage, etc., shown west of Maiden Newton. <1>
A part of the manor of Maiden Newton was granted to Cerne Abbey, in fact one third part. After the Dissolution the land passed into secular hands. <2>
No information was obtained during field investigation concerning this site. It seems likely that this only applies to part of the manor as stated by Hutchins. <3>
