Full Description
Obtained from a labourer about 1831 who found it whilst hedging near BADBURY a bronze-handled large knife or sword, the handle presenting a dragon's head and neck in fine relief. Presented to the late MR STURT of CRICHEL. Evidence of Roman occupation. <1>
No further information was obtained during field investigation regarding the findspot or present location. <2>
