Summary
A pond situated within the interior of Badbury Rings. The two ponds were in use by 1887 and are rectilinear in shape; one may have originated as a quarry pit.

Full Description
Two water-filled ponds cut into the gravel bed are located opposite the W entrance within the interior of Badbury Rings hillfort.
ST 96310299. Rectilinear hollow measuring 28m by 12m, has possibly developed from an existing quarry pit. Both ponds were certainly in existance in 1887 as both are depicted on the OS 25 inch map. Only the `quarry' pond is located on the 1811 Inclosure Map.
