Summary
Site of a Light Anti-Aircaft Artillery Battery situated on a low ridge within an area of heathland to the south-east of the Royal Naval Cordite Factory on Holton Heath. It was designed for the defence of that establishment, and is known to have been operational between 1942-3 when it was manned by troops of the 448th Battalion from 84 Regiment. The emplacement was installed with a single 40mm gun mounted on a Mark II platform. There are no surviving remains.
