Full Description

'Lyme, Decemb. 15. It has blown [a] violent Storm these two or three days which still continues. Yesterday morning a French Vessel, of about 150 Tuns, laden with Wine and Brandy, was cast ashore at Bridport-mouth, about two Leagues to the Eastward of this place; there was but one Man lost, and much of the Goods may be saved.'
