Summary
A sub circular hollow feature containing two rectilinear structures on the edge of Dunsley Plantation to the southwest of Minterne Magna is visible as an earthwork and structures on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as a chalk pit and lime kilns. A documentary record for the lime kiln has a separate record number of MDO1728. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
