Strip lynchets. The remains of former open fields around a settlement at France Farm. Parallel bankfeatures are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project. They are considered to be the remains of medieval strip fields.

Parallel bankfeatures are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project [4]. They are considered to be the remains of medieval strip fields [and are likely to be a contunation of those described in MDO4807.
