Summary
Two adjacent irregular sub circular hollow features to the west of Alton Pancras are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. One of the features is recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as an old chalk pit. The two features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
