Full Description
A sub circular hollow feature on Tenant's Hill, to the west of Alton Pancras, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature
is located within a small rectilinear enclosure that forms part of a larger later prehistoric settlement and/ or field system (MDO48113) but is possibly a later feature, perhaps a post medieval chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
