A sub circular hollow feature to the north of Giants Head Farm, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is recorded on the OS 1st Edition map as an old chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
