Listed Building record MDO4897 - Parish church of St Mary, Tarrant Gunville

Parish church, nave, aisles and south porch of late 14th century origin, west tower 15th century, partially rebuilt 16th century. Remainder of church and general restoration 1843 to 1845. 19th century work by T H Wyatt. Flint with random squared rubble blocks, banded flint and ashlar with ashlar dressings. Slate roofs with stone copings. Plan: nave, chancel, west tower, north and south aisles, south porch and north vestry. Wall arcading re-set high up in the south wall of the north aisle indicates a former church of about AD 1100.

The west tower of St. Mary's Church is Perpendicular, and some 14th century work is incorporated in the rest of the church which was rebuilt in stone and flint in 1844-5.
