Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, known as barrow "C" of the Hyde Hill Plantation group. It was originally described by RCHME as having been denuded by ploughing but still visible as a mound 30 feet in diameter and less than 1 foot high. The barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1943 but has subsequently been ploughed level.

See ST 91 SE 61 <2, 3> The Bronze Age round barrow referred to as barrow "C" within the Hyde Hill Plantation group (ST 91 SE 61 / UID: 210105. See also ST 91 SE 193 to 204) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1943 but has subsequently been ploughed level. It is centred at ST 9514 1044 and comprises a circular mound which measures 10.5m in diameter but was truncated by the boundary of Hyde Hill Plantation to the south-west. The barrow appears to have been ploughed level on aerial photographs taken in 1988. <1, 4> This barrow was formerly recorded as part of ST 91 SE 61.
