Full Description

A socketed spear-head found in the garden of 17 Race Down Road, Blandford Camp on 20 June 1977 by Sgt P Mitchell. Notes by S Rollo-Smith in the Dorset County Museum record that it is 'Rowlands 'group L' re loops - of a type found generally between Wiltshire and north east Dorset - particularly those from Hambledon (1945.18.1) and Hod Hill (1931.8.1) but also known in Yorks. Also cf BM 92 9-1 319 - Blandford. Bronze Age - Middle Bronze Age.' <1>
