Full Description
The published note describes this find as: 'A small bronze coin of Constantius II of 324-30, identified by Mr. Dalton , was found in the garden top-soil of a cottage next door but one to the Post Office in Broadmayne high street, by Mr. J. B. Clifton. Obverse, CONSTANTIVS AVG, diademed bust, draped, right ; reverse PROVIDENTIA AVGG, city gate with 2 turrets and star above.' <1>
The identification of the emperor was subsequently corrected to Constantine I (324-30). <2>
