Summary

Settlement earthworks are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on both sides of the River River Winterborne to the west of Oatclose Wood. They are possibly part of the former village of Nicholson and were digitaly recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Full Description

Settlement earthworks are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery <2-4> on both sides of the River River Winterborne to the west of Oatclose Wood. They cover an area of 10 hectares and are assocaited with a field system to the north described in MDO5216. The features are possibly part of the former village of Nicholson and were digitaly recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
