Summary
A bowl barrow, part of a group set on a large north-south spur which is part of Muston Down. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 38 feet in diameter with a mound two feet high. The bowl barrow mound and outer ring ditch are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1953 and 1965 and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Full Description
Group of three bowl barrows of chalky construction, and one possible barrow. All are now ditchless, and under the plough.
D (ST 86560059) Diameter 15.0m, height 0.7m. During ploughing in 1953 a hole about 4 1/2ft deep and 1 foot in diameter appeared on the top of the mound (possibly the collapse of a cist).
In 1940-41 a skeleton was ploughed out from one of the mounds, probably 'D', by C F Carter. Many stones have been removed from this barrow group (a). <2>

One of a group of four Bronze Age barrows on the west end of Muston Down, Winterborne Kingston. The barrow mound is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1980 <5> and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
