Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A prehistoric field system covering around 90 acres on and to the north east of North Down, and once extending in all directions. In 1970 this field system was reported as being particularly well preserved around Nutley Clump where substantial earthworks survived. These earthworks included curving scarps up to six feet high and a trackway, suggesting a settlement associated with the field system.
